Pertandingan Anugerah Nilam Tahap 1 dan Tahap 2 di Peringkat Sekolah

Seorang pelajar dari Tahap 1 dan seorang pelajar dari Tahap 2 akan menerima Anugerah Nilam Tahap 1 dan 2 pada Hari Anugerah Cemerlang 2018.  


Pemilihan akan dibuat sepanjang bulan Jan - Oktober 2018.  
Syarat-syarat Pemilihan Calon Nilam Peringkat Sekolah

1. Telah membaca dan merekodkan bilangan bahan bacaan yang terbanyak yang dikumpul dari Tahun 1.
2. Buku Rekod Nilam ditulis dengan kemas dan lengkap.
3. Menyediakan sebuah fail Nilam yang mengandungi bahan bukti aktiviti setelah menjalankan bacaan seperti kraf tangan, lukisan, penghasilan mengarang dan lain-lain
4. Menyediakan satu Profil Tokoh Nilam
5. Membuat satu persembahan di waktu perhimpunan atau majlis khas sekolah
6. Sesi ujian bertulis mengenai pengetahuan am, Bahasa, Sains dan Matematik.
7. Sesi temubual dengan panel hakim

1. Murid memilih sebuah buku fiksyen dan membacanya.

2. Guru memberi penerangan tentang cara melukit kulit buku.

3. Kertas A4 diedarkan kepada murid.

Highly Immersive Programme SKPI- Report

The Launching Ceremony of the “Highly Immersive Programme (HIP)”

Date       : 13 August 2018 (Monday)

Venue     : Dataran SKPI

Introduction
HIP is a well crafted programme with the noble intention of enhancing English proficiency among students.  Under this programme, students are given more exposure to English but without an increase in the teaching hours.  It empowers the schools to plan and execute programmes which are tailor-made to suit the immersive level of their students.

       It is based on a whole school approach which ropes in the school heads, teachers, students, parents and community.  This strategy would work well as the stakeholders are given equal importance and acknowledgement for their respective roles in realizing the objectives of the programme.

       This programme provides a true recognition to English language and it empowers the schools to plan and execute the programmes in their own capacity. It focuses on “empowering schools, by the schools and for the schools.”

Aims & Objectives

It aims to involve and immerse students in an English-rich environment as a first step in achieving the objectives of instilling interest and awareness among the students.

It was initially introduced under the Upholding Bahasa Malaysia and Strengthening the English Language (MBMMBI) policy in 1999

The school head is assigned the role of an “Anchor” and has the responsibility to lead the school in actively creating a Highly Immersive English Language environment.

Meanwhile, the teachers play a vital role in implementing English Language programmes which are expected to assist in creating interest among the students.

The community plays an equally important role by contributing and being involved in the activities planned.

Students are involved directly in suggesting, planning and executing them with their teachers’ guidance.

Conclusion

The English Panel of SKPI is entrusted with the mammoth task of creating positive acceptance towards the importance of learning and mastering English

However, commitment from the headmaster, teachers, parents and students are the ultimate deciding factors for the success of this programme.  Hence, genuine involvement to create awareness among the students and exceptional effort from all parties is crucial.
